Hatton laps field, scores first LIV victory: Tyrrell Hatton follows up Saturday’s 65 with another one, earning him his first victory since joining LIV in January. Finishing at -19, Hatton shot eight birdies today. Moving up to third in the overall standings after today’s victory, Hatton gets his fourth top 10 and has finished no worse than 21st in an event. Ranked as high as five in the world, this marks Hatton’s first victory since the 2021 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. 2024 has been a good year for Tyrrell Hatton, he finished tied for 9th at the Masters (assuring himself a spot in 2025) and now adds a victory to the mix. This win also marks the first individual win for a member of Legion XIII, more on them later. In second at -13 is Sam Horsfield, his best result by 15 spots. On Sunday Horsfield shot seven birdies good for a 65 and moved into the Lock Zone at 22 with four events to play. In a four-way tie for third at -12 are Joaquin Niemann, Lee Westwood, Jon Rahm, and Bryson DeChambeau. Niemann gets the podium spot after shooting not only the low round of the day but the week with a 62. Opening up with four birdies over his first five holes of the day, Niemann added in six more the rest of the day to help extend his lead in the overall standings. Lee Westwood’s tie for third helps bump him up to 33rd in the overall. The former world number one went eagle-birdie his last two holes of the day for his first top 10 of the season. Jon Rahm bounces back after two weeks of withdrawing from events, shooting seven birdies. This helps Rahm hold his second in the overall eighth top 10 of the season. Bryson DeChambeau continues to look like the best golfer in the world, earning his fifth top 10 of the season with a final-round 68 and four birdies.

Rest of the Top 10: In a tie for 7th at -11 are Sebastian Munoz and John Catlin. Munoz shot a bogey-free 65 today, opening up with an eagle and adding four birdies in. Who knows what the rest of the season looks like for Catlin but he left a strong impression, ending the week with a birdie for his first LIV top-10. Rounding out the top 10 at -10 are Paul Casey, Richard Bland, Cameron Smith, and Carlos Ortiz. Casey opened up the day with one of his seven birdies, good for a 65 for his fourth top 10 of the season, sitting at 14th overall. Blandemonium continues, shooting two birdies over his last three holes for his second top-10 of the season. Smith ended the day with two birdies for his fourth top-10 of the season, good for eighth overall. Ortiz follows up his win in Houston with a top 10, shooting five birdies including one to end the day.

Legion XIII wins third team title: Legion XIII not only gets an individual win but wins their third team title, led by Hatton and Rahm. Finishing at -40, Legion XIII was five ahead of the second-place Crushers. The team’s other contributors, Kieran Vincent, and Caleb Surratt, finish tied for 18th and 25th respectively. The Crushers finish second led by DeChambeau and Catlin. Both men birdied their last holes to get themselves one ahead of the third-place Torque GC. Torque, led by the top 10s of Niemann, Munoz, and Ortiz ended the week at -34. All three teams are now the top three teams overall in LIV with the Crushers in first, Legion XIII second, and Torque third.

Up Next: LIV returns to Andalucia, Spain from July 12th to 14th at Real Club Valderrama. This marks the second tournament by LIV at this course, won by Talor Gooch in 2023. One of the highest-rated courses in the world, the course hosts the Andalucia Masters of the DP World Tour. That tournament’s winners include Adrian Meronk, John Catlin, Sergio Garcia (twice) and Graeme McDowell. The course also hosted the Volvo Masters from 1988 to 2008, won by Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood. The experience and success of rostered players should make it another exciting one.
